Product Introduction

Acid black 210 CAS# 99576-15-5 is a triazo dye is an azo dye with the appearance of dark brown powder. It dissolves in water readily. The water solution shows black color.

Mainly used in the dyeing of leather. And can also be used in the dyeing and printing of wool, silk and nylon/polyamide. It is a leather dye.

pH 4.0-4.5 recommended for the dyeing of wool; pH 4.0-5.0 recommended for the dyeing of nylon/polyamide.

FAQ

Q: Do acidic dyes stain microbial cells?

A: Normally acid dyes do not stain microbial cells since both of them are negatively charged.

Q: Which dye is banned in the textile industry?

A: Some azo dyes are banned in the textile industry. These azo dyes release potentially carcinogenic aromatic amines.

Q: What is the difference between Sulphur and vat dyes?

A: Both sulphur dyes and vat dyes are not water soluble. For sulphur dyes, sodium sulfide or other reducing agents need to be used during the dyeing to reduce the dye to a soluble chromophore. Sulphur dyes are mainly used in the dyeing of cotton fibers. Vat dyes need to be converted into soluble sodium salt through the action of reducing agents under alkaline conditions. Vat dyes are mainly used in the dyeing and printing of cellulose fibers such as cotton and linen.

Q: What is a vat dye?

A: Vat dyes are mainly used in the dyeing and printing of cellulose fibers such as cotton and linen. Vat dyes are water insoluble.

Q: What is an acid dye used for?

A: Acid dyes are always used in the dyeing and printing of fibers such as wool, silk, nylon and modified acrylic fibers. Acid dyes can also be used in the coloring of leather, paper, inks, cosmetics, feather, wood, fur, soaps, food and so on.

Q: What is an acid dye?

A: An acid dye is a kind of water soluble dyes. The dye is called an acid dye just because at the very beginning they were used in an acidic bath (often with vinegar or acetic acid.)

Q: Are acid dyes natural?

A: Acid dyes are not natural. Acid dyes are synthesized from chemical reactions. But people could find some natural colors to dye the fibers.

Q: How are acid dyes classified?

A: Acid dyes could be classified by their dyeing performance and chemical structures. By dyeing performance, acid dyes could be divided into three types: strong acid bath, weak acid bath and neutral bath; By chemical structures, acid dyes could fall into several categories: azo dyes, anthraquinone dyes, triarylmethane dyes, xanthene dyes and so on.
