Metal complex dyes are the compounds formed by complexation reactions between dye molecules and metal ions such as copper, chromium, cobalt and nickel. One metal ion reacts with one dye molecule to form 1:1 metal complex dyes. One metal ion reacts with two dye molecules to form 1:2 metal complex dyes. Advantages of metal complex dyes
Firstly, due to the introduction of metal ions to dye molecules, the dyes and fibers have stable complexes which enhance the fastness like light fastness, wet fastness and washing fastness. The metal complex dyes can meet the rising fastness requirements, especially of the outdoor products.
Secondly, metal complex dyes can be used in wide applications. They are suitable for protein fibers (silk and wool) and polyamide fibers. They are also used in leather, wood, ink and automotive interiors.
Types Of Metal Complex Dyes
For metal complex dyes, we have five types
Prolan® S Dyes Mainly used for medium and deep shades. Have high light, wet and washing fastness.
Prolan® 2S Dyes Suitable for deep shades. Have high light and washing fastness.
Prolan® P Dyes Have good brightness and better performance than conventional wool dyes. Similar to Neolan Series.
Prolan® NHF-S Dyes Mainly for medium and deep shades. Have high light and wet fastness. Similar to Isolan NHF-S Series.
Prolan® K Dyes Suitable for medium and deep shades. Have high light and wet fastness.

A: 0.5% dispersing agent (suitable)
0.5-1% levelling agent (suitable)
0.5-2g/L sodium acetate
pH value: 4.5-6 (Adjust pH with acetic acid)
B: X% Prolan® S Dyes
1g/L anti-creasing agent (suitable), 0.5-1g/L anti-foaming agent (suitable)
